Player Evaluation Process

At Underrated Ballerz, our mission is to foster player development in a supportive and competitive environment. Our experienced coaching staff evaluates players based on the following key areas:

• Conditioning: Assessing cardiovascular fitness and physical strength.

• Attitude: Observing interactions with teammates and coaches, focusing on positivity and teamwork.

• Basketball IQ: Understanding of offensive and defensive concepts.

• Shooting Ability: Evaluating form, accuracy, and consistency.

• Ball Handling: Proficiency with both right and left hands.

• Defense: Effectiveness in on-ball defense and help defense situations.

Evaluations are designed to identify each player’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring appropriate team placement to maximize development.

Team Formation and Placement

Post-evaluation, players are placed on teams that best suit their current skill levels and developmental needs. Each team is composed to provide a balanced and competitive atmosphere, promoting growth for all members.

• Unified Developmental Teams: All teams participate in the same number of local tournaments and receive consistent coaching quality.

• Commitment to Growth: We emphasize equal opportunities for practice and play, focusing on individual and team development over competition.

Invitation Process

1. Notification: Following evaluations, families will receive an email regarding team placement decisions.

2. Acceptance: To confirm a spot, families must respond and submit the required deposit within 72 hours of receiving the invitation.

3. Commitment: We expect full participation in scheduled practices and tournaments. Open communication regarding availability is crucial for team planning.

If a response is not received within the 72-hour window, the spot may be offered to another player to ensure team readiness for the season.
